We are 100% Tasmanian-owned and operated. Our Store was established on 10th October 2006, originally as Carpet Junction specialising in floor covering. We diversified in 2010 with the addition of the Mattress Junction at that time we were an independent store specialising in SleepMaker products.

We are located close to the historic Margate Train. Carpet Junction is an independent retailer of carpets, floor coverings and mattresses. For your convenience, the showroom is open 7 days a week.
Our wide range of SleepMaker and Sleepyhead mattresses are made using some of the latest technology. This means that we have something to offer for a variety of customers such as those who have a tendency to sleep hot or cold.
If your partner is a restless sleeper, some of our products may help minimise what’s known as partner disturbance. A lot of our mattresses are antimicrobial treated, this technology is aimed at making a fresher, more hygienic and odour free product. We are established at the Margate Train, a small shopping hub at the out skirts of Margate Tasmania.
The Train is a unique family shopping experience in the area. The carriages are from the Tasman Limited Train service. The Locomotive is an M Class steam locomotive. The Tasman Limited was a passenger train operated by Tasmanian Government Railways on the Main and Western lines between Hobart, Launceston and Wynyard from April 1954 until July 1978. The service has the distinction of being the last ever regularly scheduled passenger train service in Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Government Railways M class was a class of 4-6-2 steam locomotives operated by the Tasmanian Government Railways. The site is a busy attraction for locals and tourist alike.
