At Beds R Us, we believe everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep. While our stores help thousands of Australians find better sleep every year, we know that a good night’s sleep is something many people experiencing homelessness can only dream of.
That’s why Beds R Us is proud to support Backpack Bed for Homeless through the GoodNight Sydney fundraising campaign, helping provide emergency sleeping solutions for people sleeping rough across Sydney.
Bringing dignity, comfort and hope to those in need
Homelessness can happen for many different reasons, and for people without safe accommodation, every night can bring challenges including exposure to cold weather, rain, unsafe environments and poor-quality sleep.
Backpack Bed for Homeless provides specially designed portable backpack beds to people experiencing homelessness who do not have access to shelter. These innovative Backpack Beds combine a lightweight backpack with a weather-resistant sleeping shelter, built-in mattress and protective features designed to improve warmth, comfort, dignity and safety.
The GoodNight Sydney campaign aims to raise funds to provide Backpack Beds and fire-retardant sleeping bags to people sleeping rough across Sydney. The campaign highlights the importance of ensuring people without shelter have access to basic comfort and protection while they work towards more permanent housing solutions.
