Beds R Us has 85 stores in Australia and we are expecting growth vs the previous financial year.
On Thursday 16/01/2020 Channel 7’s morning program Sunrise ran a story about Jeanswest going into administration. Towards the end of the story Sunrise pictured Beds R Us among 6 other retailers that are alleged ‘retail casualties’ of 2019, but on Monday 20/01/2020 broadcast an apology for the mistake, which originated at other news sources.
Many of our Beds R Us stores are in regional areas including some in bushfire affected zones and drought-stricken communities. A few of our stores may be doing it tough, but we are a strong group.

Our members are hard-working Aussie battlers who employ local people, sell Australian Made mattresses and contribute to their communities all over QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and elsewhere. Please allow us to get some of the facts straight.

- Beds R Us is a retail membership network and buying group, not a company or corporation
- Beds R Us has a positive outlook for 2020
- Currently Beds R Us has 85 stores in Australia (36 in QLD, 24 in NSW, 17 in VIC, 8 other)
- We are expecting to open more outlets in the future
- Beds R Us comprises locally owned stores selling Australian made mattresses and employing people from remote, regional and metro areas of Australia
- Stores close and/or move from time to time. This does not comprise going into administration
- 8 Brisbane stores closed in November 2018, with 2 of these stores reopening in 2019. These closures did not relate to any of the other independent Beds R Us businesses still currently successfully operating.
